omggg has it been a crazy fortnight of weddings or wat?? i hav the feelin i mite jus fall asleep at the laptop...thts hw tired i am..but at the same time...i feel quite buzzed up...lol..nt sure why...

the whole family weddings thing started the week beginnin 12th august (i think)...was a family wedding in london...we werent so involved in this wedding...like we were...but we werent...if tht mkes sense...cos we're 2nd cousins of the bride...therefore..it was more responsibility on the 1st cousins....tht kinda thing....the weding was on the 17th of august...n frm there..we went straight to gloucester wit mama's family...so tht we cud help out with Api's wedding...

omg i must say..this was one of the best weeks ive eva had!!

hehe...me n Sam had a bet goin at the weddin on the 17th...she was like "brides gna b in a shade of green/turquoise" n i was like "noo shes gna b in cream/white"....if i win...she gets me a chai latte frm caffe nero...n if she wins... i get her a starbux...guess who won?? hehe...

goin bak to tht starbux in glosta town bought bak memories...it had been aages since we last actually chilled out in such a way....it was soo nice to see Sam again afta ages...

we rushed around town tht mornin..cos we had a lotta things to get done...had to go to bristol to pick up the bridesmaids and brides outfits, and get things for the hen night...wich was in birmingham...was a manic day...but fun...plus..we hadnt really had much sleep considerin we got to glosta around 1am n didnt sleep till like 2:30...

the hen night was madness...lol...we had a dress code...black n white..n funky hair (obviously, cos i was in hijab, no funky hair...n u cant really do funky hijab)...ooh tht reminds me..i dnt c why wen the word "hen night" is used tht its got connotation to things like getin a male stripper...hello...girls can hav fun without having to see a man in his underwear prancing around!! hen nights are jus abt bride to b n her friends havin a bit of fun..n thts wat we did!!...we drove the waiters in the restaurant mad...lol...1st we got them to move the table arrangement...then afta all the work n effort...we asked to sit sumwher else..hehe...everyone was hyper...n lol..best was wen one of the gals stuck a hen night badge on sum customer's flashy mercedes...or was it a bmw?...eitha way..was sum flashy car..

n omg...they all sang happy birthday to me too!! (a lil early, but it was sweet of em)

sunday...i joined maz in attendin a valima in cardiff....not the best way to b spending ones birthday...im not big on celebratin birthdays...but i jus wanted to spend it wit family...n wantd it to b a good day in general...but it started of pretty crap...i dnt wana go into details..cos truthfully...dnt really wana think abt it..but it ended quite nicely...we all messed around (we bein, me, maz, fatima, aysha, shaista n tariq)..lol ive got this thing abt takin pics frm my phone...n we were all tryin to get into one pic..was hilarious cos salma api made it into a video instead of takin a pic..hehe...

monday was kinda chilled out...cnt really remember wat we did...it was jus general weddin prep kinda thing...cos thts wat usually happens...mum n juned came on tht day too..cnt really remember much...n oh yeh..sam went bak to bristol on saturday cos she cudnt get time off work n had exams on thursday n friday :(

had suchh a laff tho....shabz n homz are like the cuuuutest eva!! i luv them gals....shabz is my adopted lil sis..hehe...n the kids tht live opposite, adam, ibrahim n zaid are soooo cute as well mashaAllah!!

Tuesday was a hectic day, went shoppin wit mami to get things for the mehndi for the day afta...n wat else did we do....i cnt remember nw...the days went sooo fast...!!think they put the marquee up on the same day...or was tht the day before?...n they put up the gazebo?? hmm...cnt remember nw..n oh yeh..we blew up balloons n put em up in the marquee...lol...tht was fun....oohh yyeehhh...i remember nw..monday we spent cleanin the garden tables n chairs n stuff..tht was funnn!! got completely soakd n had soap all over...lol..

Wednesday was the mehndi party...so we were gettin things ready for tht...the auntys were all cookin in the kitchen, n all us girls were helpin out...n then was the mehndi party...we all got dressed n stuff..was a non hijaab do..so i got my hair curled :) farah n shabz did it for me..they sooo sweet!....

the mehndi party went well alhamdulillah...food was yum...got mehndi dun on my hand...rubina did it for me...shes well cool..she draggd me to the dance floor...cos we had a dj n music...it was soooo coool...even the auntys danced!! had sooo much fun! it got a lil emotional..bt tht was gna happen...its a wedding!!

thursday we had a barbeque!! alhamdulillah the weather was soooo good the whole week!! its amazing hw fast the time went subhanAllah

bhai got his GCSE results..n mashaAllah he did reallly well...im soooo proud of him...jus upsets me tht he has such an attitude toward me...n i dnt undastand why :(.. hes so rude to me even tho i try to b nice to him...

friday was like a dawat kinda thing at a hall..we had bharuchi daar chawal...supposedly its different to surti :p lol...it was nice tho..n omgg...rubina's nephew was jus the cutest thing evaaaa!! i wantd to take him home wit me!!

omg i completely forgot....we were stayin at faridas...n omgggg shes suchhhh a laff!! tht gal is crazyyyyy!!! we had icecream at 2am...she had me cmpletely buzzin on friday nite ...so much tht it was 2am n i didnt wana sleep..lol...n we had to b up early for the weddin on saturday mrnin...havnt slept mch!! n im cmpletely knackerd at the moment..but i wanna finish this thing n then get sm sleep!!

alhamdulillah the weddin went well on saturday...even tho i felt like a giant raspberry...lolz...sittin at the head table was kinda daunting...cos had to sit wit 4guys who were Api's hubby's mates...it was a nice day tho...n im glad to hav been part of it.we were all given tasks to do...so we werent sittin around n gettin bored or anythin...n alhamdulillah the day went pretty smoothly...the photographer, Mel, was sooo funny...i kept tellin him to keep the camera away frm me...hehe...n then he'd cme afta me jokingly n point the camera at me...lol...so then i'd do my niqaab thing...lol...

im too tired to write much more..but saturday night stayed at faridas again...this time sam stayed too...kept her awake till like 2am talkin..felt sooo bad..cos then we had to b up early again for the valima n hinckley...wich was pretty fun too...we were plannin on goin bak 2 london frm the valima...but sam n mami persuaded mum to let us stay...so tht was nice...cos got to spend more time wit everyone...

ive not gone into too much detail, cos ive left out a lot..lol..but farah was soo funny wit her "bhaijaan" n "bhenji" things...n shabz wit her spongebob lol....fahim was jus cute...n gives the nicest bear hugz!...the other girls, like sabina, n rubina were good company..n then ther was ruqi n fudzilla n zakira (my twin!) lol....jus really sweet young girls.....who for sum reason (god knows why) took a likin to me n lol they all kept runnin upto me n huggin me...hehe...miss them already..will txt em tmrw n say ello methinks...

this is gna b a pretty random blog...why...im nt so sure...i guess its cos its been a while since the last time i blogged....

no real reason as to why i havent...guess jus cos i havnt really had the time, or maybe cos i cudnt really b bothered...

theres so much thts been goin on...but its nt really things i cn put dwn...nt ere neway...plus they mostly jumbled thots.so tht doesnt really help eitha...

kinda feel like im stuck in a limbo...nt really sure wher im goin...its like lookin for a job n stuff...as well as a few otha things tht have been on my mind..

ugh...i had so much i wanted to say wen i was thinkin abt writin this blog..but its all gone....

india trip was good alhmdulillah...stressful...cos i had a lotta shoppin n stuff to get done...wedding suits to buy...n the weather wasnt too gr8...well it was most of the time..but then had a few days wher it rained like mad...n cudnt leave home...we even had an electricity cut...and shortage of water for a day....but it was all part of the experience...was quite fun...did get a lil tiring...n maaan was i sikkk of mangos at the end of tht holiday!!

gt bk 2 london..n 1st week went so fast i didnt evn realise hw fast time flew...n secnd week was busy wit relatives...then had to go to preston for a weekend...a last minute thing...cos mum cudnt mke it..i had to tke her place...was nice tho...stayin at cuzins...seein everyone afta ages...n the kids were soooo cute!! mashaAllah!!

ugh..its so depressin wen ur looking for a job...n they all want sum kinda experience in the field...hws tht possible wen uve jus spent the last 18yrs in education!??! i dnt get it man..really dnt...
